Essex Fire And Rescue Service recently took delivery of a new BMW motorbike which was being added to their FireBike fleet. FireBike is a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) education and publicity initiative through which they engage positively with Essex’s motorcyclists on a range of safety and related issues. The draw back was that standard BMW motorbikes don’t tend to come with diamond grade reflective markings as an optional extra and the bike was being delivered 2 days before a publicity event that had already been arranged. We got our hands on the bike on Wednesday afternoon and custom cut the reflective stripes to suit the bike and give it more of a “Fire Brigade” look.
