The Fenn Wright face-lift was a recent project we under took for their Ipswich, Buttermarket branch. Part of the service that we offer is the removal and disposal of any existing sign that is in the way, which we were happy to do here. Our surprise was that, once the fascia sign had been removed, we found that the previous generation to the one we had removed was still hanging on behind it. The next challenge was to remove the older one however as we were removing this we found out how much the sign making industry has come on with lighter and more durable signs, as the old sign was much heavier than the new sign that we were installing even though it was a little smaller. This would be largely down to the advancements made in manufacturing styles with aluminium widely used now rather than heavier zintec which had been used in the 70’s and 80’s. There is also the improvements in the illumination of signs with LED modules being favoured now in place of fluorescent tubes giving a brighter illumination that is cheaper to run and easier to maintain.
